Joint health & safety committees (JHSC) bring workers and employers together to create safer workplaces. This training equips new committee members and worker health & safety representatives with the skills and knowledge needed to fulfill their responsibilities. By completing this course, you’ll meet the minimum 8-hour training requirement set out in the Occupational Health and Safety Regulation (Section 3.27). What You’ll Take Away
Who Should Attend? Focused on tourism, this course is primarily designed for new joint health & safety committee members, both employer and worker representatives. Existing committee members or worker health & safety representatives who are looking for a refresher on their responsibilities and duties may also benefit from taking this course. Session Details This is an online, self-paced course you can take on your own schedule. It takes about 8 hours to complete, and you can work through it in a way that fits your life and commitments. Eligibility Indigenous Tourism BC will cover the full costs of this training for eligible participants:
Prerequisites There are no prerequisites – just a willingness to learn and grow in the health & safety space.
